It’s the first month of a brand-new year. For some, this means new beginnings and another chance to make it ‘your year’. For others January feels like a whole month of the Sunday scaries. Especially on a day that has been nationally declared as the saddest day of the year…Blue Monday. Just because it’s the feels like the fifth Monday of January, when the weather is cold, days are short, the mood is running low, this doesn’t mean everything needs to be miserable! Yes, it may not be the best Monday you’ll have, but there are so many things you can do to turn it around.

How to get over Monday Blues?

That’s what we’re here for, to bring those positive new year, new you, vibes back! Here’s our top tips to help you get through today and the rest of January, it’ll be spring before you know it!

Start your day the right way

Having a great day is all about starting it the right way. Whether you’re able to hit snooze on that alarm or you want to get up extra early to seize the day, there are so many ways to ease yourself into Blue Monday.  Here at exante HQ, we’re lucky enough to have flexible start times. Don’t have that option at your workplace? No problem, why not set your alarm even earlier to give you a fresh start to the day. You may want to start your day with some yoga, stretching or even perhaps go on a fresh January jog.

But first, coffee...

Most importantly, if you’re anything like us, you’ll know that the day can’t properly start without your caffeine fix. Why not kick the week off with a special treat and visit your favorite coffee shop on your morning commute? Are you trying to avoid calorific coffee trips? Switch up your caffeine routine and try one of our BOOST drinks, the perfect alternative to enhance your energy. Get all the caffeine you need to refocus your day and boost your mood in one low calorie, low sugar drink!
Alternatively, if you’re looking for something more that will keep your hunger cravings under control until lunch time? Shake up your day with your favorite exante shake flavor to enjoy on-the-go.

Bring your resolutions to life

January is a long month and don’t we all know it! To help it go a little faster, why not make a list of healthy New Year's resolutions. Now, they don’t need to be anything huge, just quick wins to help you regain your focus. Start by making a list of all the things you’re aspiring to do in 2022, they can be as smart or as wacky as you want. Whether you want to use 2022 to get in shape, start a new hobby or completely transform yourself, it’s great to get focused on the things you want for the New Year.Remember, having things to work towards and look forward to, is a great way to help you get through these tough winter months.  Track your progress in the most fun way and sign up to our NEW 'Say Hello to a New You' guide.

Whether you choose to go to the gym, complete your 10k steps or take part in a program virtually, make sure you’re working up a sweat to release those January blues.
